This Online Education Changed My Life

When you hear about most people talking about adult school online, you might think people are talking about getting their college degree online. That wasn’t the case for me.
See, I didn’t grow up in the U.S. though my family did come here legally. We did all the right things, filled out all the paperwork and went through all the motions. And now we are citizens. Sadly, however, we didn’t have the same approach when it came to education.
Where I am from, hard work is more important than an education, as we lived in a poor, rural area. Well here, you need an education AND hard work, but I kind of floated through what little education I bothered to get. Now as I’ve gotten older, I realize what a huge mistake that was.
I’m attending adult school online to get my high school diploma. I don’t know whether to be proud or embarrassed, but I’m doing it!
